Synopsis

Nadezhda Stoyanova is a renowned translator from Japanese and a university professor at the peak of her career when she learns she has a brain tumor. Together with her daughter Evgenia, she believes the illness can be overcome while she continues translating the novel Flesh by fictional Nobel Prize winner Yukio Kobayashi. As the disease progresses, both women discover that nothing will ever be the same again.
