Synopsis
In a municipality made up of 11 villages in Macedonia, Antigona is the first and only female bus driver serving this rural network. When her father retired early due to health issues, she stepped into his role without hesitation—driving the village bus along winding roads from one remote community to the next. As the sole connection between these villages and the outside world, she carries heavy loads, greets familiar faces, and navigates a world shaped by men and their expectations. With quiet determination, Antigona embraces her role as a community lifeline—supporting those around her and gently reshaping how women are seen, and how they see themselves.
